The Mumbai NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has presented a 200-page chargesheet against comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Harsh Limbachiya, to the court. In 2020, they were arrested on drug-related charges and are now free on bail.

On November 21, 2020, the NCB seized 86.5 gms of marijuana during a search of Bharti Singh and her husband's home. The search was conducted as part of NCB's investigation into drug use in the entertainment industry.

The couple was apprehended and taken to court, where they were ordered to stay in judicial custody until December 4. The couple was released from custody after each paying Rs 15,000 to get out of jail.

After actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in June 2020, the NCB launched an investigation into widespread drug use in Bollywood based on drug-related WhatsApp messages.

Previously, the central agency detained Rajput's girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, as well as her brother Showik, under the NDPS Act.
