Union Home MinisterAmit Shah Applauds Kerala's 'Rich Culture & Heritage'

Before the 30th southern zonal meeting at Kovalam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed Kerala's "rich culture and legacy," saying, "Every Indian is proud of Kerala."

Amit Shah commented on his official Facebook page, sharing photographs of the cultural program in Thiruvananthapuram, "Blessed to be in this beautiful state on the holy holiday of Onam."

On Saturday, the Union Home Minister will preside over a meeting of the Southern Zonal Council in Thiruvananthapuram.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai are among those attending the meeting, according to news agency ANI.

On Friday evening, Shah arrived in Kerala and was greeted by a large crowd. The Home Minister also expressed gratitude to the people of Kerala for their immense  love and affection.

Earlier on Friday, Shah said on his official Twitter account: "I arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to preside over the Southern Zonal Council meeting. I am grateful for the love and affection of the people of Kerala."

Following the meeting, the Home Minister will address at a BJP-organized meeting in Kazhakkoottam comprising delegates from various Scheduled Castes (SC) organizations.
