Shruti Haasan gets a birthday gift; Signed opposite Prabhas in 'Salaar'

On her 35th birthday, actress Shruti Haasan rings and receives a pleasant gift from the makers of 'Salaar.' Yes, the actress was signed to star opposite Prabhas, who will be directed by Prashanth Neel, who also produced 'KGF.' 


Hombale Films announced today, as a surprise to fans, that Shruti Haasan is on board for their next 'Salaar.' A 'Welcome to Salaar' poster featuring a half-shot of the actress was shared by the official account of the production banner. "Wish you a very happy birthday @shrutihaasan," the tweet read. We're thrilled to have you on board at #Salaar. You can't wait to see the screen sizzling at you. #Prabhas @prashanth_neel @VKiragandur @hombalefilms.


Her to-be co-star Prabhas, apart from the creators, also welcomed her on board and even wished her a happy birthday. Prabhas took a beautiful picture of Shruti with his Instagram handle and shared it. He wrote, "Happiest Birthday Shruti Haasan! Looking forward to working with you on #Salaar." 


Meanwhile, on the job front, Shruti was last seen opposite Ravi Teja in Krack, which turned out to be a big hit at the box office. After they re-opened post lockdown, Krack was one of the first few films released in cinema theatres. Even with the cinema halls' 50 per cent capacity, Krack exceeded the makers' expectations.


For the unversed, Shruti Haasan is the daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika. She has a younger sister called Akshara Haasan as well. With 2009's film Luck, Shruti debuted in Bollywood opposite Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt. In addition to being a popular actress in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies, Shruti is also trained to sing.'
