Suryakumar Yadav advances to No.2 position in ICC T20 Rankings
Suryakumar Yadav of India narrowed the distance between him and Mohammad Rizwan in the battle for first place among batters in the ICC T20I Rankings. After a solid home series against South Africa, Suryakumar reduced the deficit to 16 rating points.
Mohammad Rizwan, who continues to lead the batting rankings, is 16 points ahead of Suryakumar Yadav in second place with 838 rating points. If Mohammad Rizwan hadn't been rested for the sixth T20I against England at home and had scored significantly in the final T20I, he might have been able to increase his advantage. In the series finale, which Pakistan lost the series, as Rizwan got out on just 1 run.
