Mumbai, 12th September 2023  - Actress Ankita Lokhande's father, Shashikant Lokhande breathed his last on 12th August, he was 68 years old. 
 
Ankita was very close to her father, would often share posts on special occasions, but now the 'Pavitra Rishta' actress pens an emotional note, remembering her father. 
 
Sharing a picture with her father, probably from her wedding, Ankita wrote, “Paa I can’t believe it’s been a month already today, Miss u every moment paa and I love you so much daddy, Take care of yourself till me meet again dadda” 
 
The reason for Shashikant's demise is not known yet but he was unwell for a while.
 
Ankita Lokhande, known for her role as Archana Deshmukh in the TV series Pavitra Rishta, ventured into the film industry in 2019 with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and was also seen in Baaghi 3. She recently returned to the small screen with the reality show Smart Jodi, marking her second reality show appearance alongside Vicky Jain.
 
Ankita will soon be seen in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, based on the life journey of freedom fighter and reformer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar. The film is written and directed by Randeep Hooda, who also features in titular role of Veer Savarkar.
