​​​​​​Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's "Roohi" to release in theatres in March

Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma's 'Roohi Afza' has been now renamed as 'Roohi'. It was announced by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Directed by Hardik Mehta, "Roohi" will hit the theatres on March 11, 2021.

It is being produced by Dinesh Vijan, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and presented by Jio Studios.

Earlier, Dinesh had said in a statement, "We needed actors who could jump into their roles with unabashed conviction. Rajkummar and Varun are phenomenal actors, comedy is a space they excel in and own."

"Similarly for female role, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities with ease, and Janhvi stood out. She really connected with the script. Her talent is still raw, but she is excited about being moulded. The script is young, refreshing and totally crazy, and she is exactly that,” Vijan said about the actress, who made her debut with "Dhadak".

Janhvi also shared the news on Instagram aided by a video. She captioned it as, "Iss Bhootiya Shaadi mein aapka swagat hai!"

It is a haunted premise featuring two men and a women in wedding trousseaus. 

 Janhvi will next be seen in films such as "Takht", "Good Luck Jerry", and "Dostana 2".

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is prepping for his upcoming film “Badhaai Ho 2” with Bhumi Pednekar.
