According to the sources report to Bollywood Hungama stated that the Reliance along with the other producers have decided to release Ranveer Singh's starrer '83' in theatres in June 2021.
The Upcoming Movie "83" is an Indian sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan and produced collaboratively by Kabir Khan ,Vishnu Vardhan Induri , Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala , which is co-distributed by Reliance Entertainment. Amiya Dev , daughter of Kapil Dev assisted Kabir Khan during the movie. Also, the composer Pritam joined to create an iconic theme song for the movie.
The movie stars Ranveer Singh in the role of the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev along with Deepika Padukone as the wife of Kapil Dev. Along with the cast Tahir Raj Bhasin , Saqib Saleem , Ammy Virk , Harrdy Sandhu , Adinath Kothare , Boman Irani , Pankaj Tripathi , Jatin Sharma , Dhairya Karwa , Dinker Sharma , Jiiva , Amrita Puri , Sahil Khattar , Chirag Patil , Aditi Arya , Parvati Nair , R. Badree and Nishant Dahiya will be playing pivotal roles in the upcoming film. The film mainly revolves around the story of the 1983 World Cup win by team India under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
The film was first announced in the event hosted by Reliance entertainment and the Vibri Media with the former winner team of 1983 World Cup. Followingly , The film started rolling on 5th June ,2019 in England. Initially, it was perfectly scheduled to have theatrical release on 10th April , 2020. However , due to Covid-19 pandemic , the movie was postponed to 25th December , 2020 but again got delayed to the year 2021.
