Vidyut Jammwal, Rukmini Maitra to star in Vipul Shah's Sanak. First-look poster out
Vidyut Jammwal, who made his Bollywood debut with the Vipul Amrutlal Shah-funded film Force, has once again teamed up with the producer for his next movie, Sanak. On social media, the actor posted the first-look poster of his film. A renowned Bollywood actress in the Bengali film industry, Rukmini Maitra will also co-star in the film with Vidyut.
Vidyut and Vipul had previously collaborated on Force and the Commando franchise. Sanak will mark their fifth film together.
A former model, Rukmini has appeared in Bengali films like Chaamp, Cockpit and Kidnap. Her last film, Switzerland, co-starring Abir Chatterjee, was released in 2020.
According to reports, Sanak will be filmed on a big scale in exotic locations. Vidyut will jump into the project after wrapping up the Khuda Haafiz Chapter II.
Vipul Shah, meanwhile, is working on his web series debut, Humans. Backdropped on human trials in the pharmaceutical industry, the show is headlined by Shefali Shah.

Vidyut Jammwal announced his next film, Sanak: Hope Under Seige, on Monday, sharing a poster teaser. Sanak's trailer or teaser is likely to be published on Republic Day, according to the actor's message. He captioned the poster, "SANAKNA zaroori hai, coming tomorrow! Ab Sankegi! #ComingSoon #Sanak Stay tuned (sic)," The poster includes a hospital bed with blood stains and a rifle all over it.

This film was produced by Vipul Shah and directed by Kanishk Verma. The movie will see Chandan Roy Sanyal and Neha Dhupia in pivotal roles. The creators were tight-lipped about the characters in the films. Sanak's going to be an emotional thriller-action movie.
Vidyut Jammwal was last seen in Khuda Haafiz which released on Disney+Hotstar last year.
