Jio Laptop ‘Jio Book’ Launched, Check Where You Can Buy It

For the past few years, Jio has been developing a budget-friendly laptop. The Jio laptop, also known as the Jio Book, is now formally launched. The business quietly debuted the Jio Book laptop, but not everyone in the nation has access to it yet. What does that mean, exactly?

Only government personnel will currently be able to buy the Jio laptop because it is currently on sale on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). 91Mobiles was the first to notice the listing. Although the item is quoted for Rs 19,500, this may not be the final retail cost. The Jio Book features a plastic construction and a Jio branding on the lid in terms of design.

When will everyone be able to access the Jio Book is the question. The company hasn't officially announced the Jio laptop's availability yet, though. The Jio laptop was prominently featured at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) event in 2022. This means that everyone will soon be able to own a laptop. Jio will formally debut the Jio laptop at the same time that it launches 5G services in 4 cities this Diwali, as predicted.

For the time being, the Jio laptop may only be purchased from GeM by government personnel. We presume that everyone can purchase the same laptop model with the same set of features and cost.

Reliance Jio claims that India is where the laptop is built. The Jio Book laptop has an 11.6-inch HD display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution as far as specifications are concerned. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and Adreno 610 GPU are used to power the laptop. Considering that the Snapdragon CPU in the new Jio Book is somewhat dated, gamers might not be overly enthusiastic about it. Jio doesn't specifically target gamers either, I suppose. The Jio laptop is for students or first-time laptop users given the specs and cost.

The Jio laptop only has 2GB of RAM, and it's still unclear what kind of storage it has. In terms of software, the Jio Book is powered by a custom Jio OS.

An HD camera, pre-installed applications including a Microsoft Ad browser, and more are some of the main features of the Jio laptop.

The Jio Book is currently available for Rs 19,500 on the GeM website. Although the quantity is restricted as mentioned, the corporation anticipates shortly replenishing the stock. The price at which the laptop will be sold commercially has not yet been disclosed by the corporation.
