OLA S1 Air India’s affordable electric scooter launched
After the Pro and S1, Ola has released the S1 Air, their most economical version of the S1. The S1 Air offers electric scooters at a reasonable price. It is priced at Rs 79,999 as an initial offer (ex-showroom). There are upgrades to the S1 Air that make it more cheap.
The design differs from its sister in that it makes more use of black, has a classic pillion grab rail, and a simpler seat. Having said that, it does have a flat floorboard and comes in five different colors. Storage space has been reduced somewhat between the S1 and S1 Pro. Drum brakes are available with no disc as an option to save money.
The good news is that there are no compromises in terms of features, as you receive the same touchscreen TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and ride modes. Hill hold, several profiles, vacation mode, and more features are available with MoveOS 3 software.
The most noticeable difference is a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack and a 4.5kW hub-mounted motor. The range is around 101 kilometers, and the top speed is a reasonable 90 kilometers per hour.
A normal home charge takes about 4.5 hours, and deliveries will begin in 2023. You can reserve one now, with the payment window beginning in February 2023.
We believe the Air is significantly less expensive and offers superior value while sacrificing performance and a few features. As a result, for individuals who do not require the extra performance, the cheaper price makes more sense, creating more competition for petrol scooters at this price.
