Female Fighter Pilot Bhavana Kanth To Participate In Republic Day Flypast.

Flight Lieutenant Bhavana Kanth will be the first female fighter pilot to join the 72nd Republic day flypast.

Bhavana Kanth, the 28-year-old female is the first fighter pilot of India. She was the first combat pilot and was admitted to the Indian Air force (IAF) fighter squadron along with two of her cohort. In 2019, She qualified to undertake combat missions. In 2020, she received Nari Shakti Puraskar by Ram Nath Kovind ( 14th and current president of India ) and she's currently posted to Indian Air Force's No. 3 Squadron in Rajasthan. She indeed fulfilled her dream of flying planes. 

Every year on the 26th of January, Republic day in India is celebrated with great passion and joy. Bhavana Kanth is an inspiration to all the women and girls by setting as the first female fighter pilot and soon to become the first woman pilot to participate in the republic day parade. 

On 18th January 2021, Dr. Harsh Vardhan (union minister for health and family welfare, Science & Tech , Earth Sciences ) posted a tweet on Twitter " Indeed a proud moment for the entire country " appreciating the new period of history of women empowerment. 

In addition, the newly admitted Rafale fighter aircraft will also be featured in the republic day parade. On 20th January 2021, A. Bharat Bhushan Babu (Principal Spokesperson of Ministry of defense) posted a tweet and a practice video of Rafale stating " Watch this video to get a worm's eye of the Republic day flypast this 26 January."

This 72nd Republic day will bring a warm and proud moment for the country.
