Times 100 Emerging Leaders’ List: Jio Chairman Akash Ambani Becomes The Only Indian To Feature On The List
Akash Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Jio, has been included in TIME magazine's TIME100 Next list, which honors "emerging stars from across industries and around the world." TIME100 Next is modeled after the magazine's original TIME100 list of the world's most powerful individuals. On the list, he is the only other Indian. Amrapali Gan, an American business executive of Indian descent, is also included on the list.

The list included Akash Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani, the founder and chairman of Reliance Industries, and Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation.
Akash (30) was elevated to chairman of Jio, the country's largest telecom provider with more than 42.6 million consumers, in June. It said, "Since then, he's played a significant role in securing multibillion-dollar investments from Google and Facebook."
