Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ponniyin Selvan earns Rs 400 crores globally to become a blockbuster

Ponniyin Selvan's producers announced that the film is the highest grossing Tamil film in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Malaysia. If the film continues at this rate, it will break even more box office records in the coming days.

Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 was released in theatres on September 30 in a variety of languages. The film received positive reviews from both critics and audiences.

Ponniyin Selvan surpassed the Rs 400-crore mark on October 10, marking a significant achievement for the team. 

According to the film's producers, Ponniyin Selvan has become the highest grossing Tamil film in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. This is a huge accomplishment for a Tamil film.

Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's popular Tamil literary novel of the same name. The lead actors are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi. The technical team includes cinematographer Ravi Varman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and composer AR Rahman.
