Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ponniyin Selvan marches ahead of The Kashmir Files lifetime collection

"Ponniyin Selvan 1," or "PS: 1," Mani Ratnam's most recent historical drama, continues to break box office records. The film made a fortune at the box office and had a terrific opening weekend in the south. In addition, the picture has been earning well in Hindi and continues to set new records every weekend.

'The Kashmir Files,' the year's second-highest-grossing Hindi film, has now been overtaken by the historical drama starring Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi. The film has grossed Rs 355 crore worldwide, which is more than The Kashmir Files' overall worldwide collection (Rs 340 crore).

According to Indian Express, the film performed substantially better than expected in its second weekend, earning Rs 1.50 crore, bringing its total (in Hindi) to Rs 16.50 crore on Day 9. The Hindi version of the film is expected to earn Rs 25 crore in total.

The Hindi version's daily collection is as follows:

Day 1 – Rs. 1.85 crore

Day 2 – Rs. 2.50 crore

Day 3 – Rs. 3.25 crore

Day 4 – Rs. 1.40 crore

Day 5 – Rs. 1.75 crore

Day 6 – Rs. 2.50 crore

Day 7 – Rs. 1 crore

Day 8 – Rs. 75 lakh

Day 9 – Rs. 1.50 crore

Total: Rs. Rs. 16.50 crore
