'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu,' starring Simbu, had a major theatrical release on September 15. The picture received positive feedback from both critics and audiences. According to an official report, VTK has earned Rs 50.56 crores in four days at the global box office.

Meanwhile, the film's producers held a thanksgiving gathering in Chennai yesterday to celebrate the film's success. Silambarasan and his team spoke with the media to commemorate the success of 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.' STR spoke at the event and delivered a forceful message against body shaming, urging the press and media to follow suit.

Simbu stated, "While seeing my previous flicks, some people mocked my looks. But they can't say anything about my physical appearance in VTK. Please do not insult somebody based on their appearance. I may accept the insults, but some people will not." According to reports, the actor underwent a dramatic metamorphosis and shed roughly 20 kgs in order to play a 19-year-old in the film.

It's worth noting that Simbu gained a lot of weight and became obese two years ago. He had a difficult career and was viciously mocked on the internet for his movie when he was obese. But, during the COVID lockdown, the combat actor astonished everyone with his physical metamorphosis, returning to his previous shape.
