CBSE date sheet 2021 to be announced today

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the official date sheet for the CBSE 2021 exams on Tuesday. Nearly 30 lakh students are scheduled to attend the CBSE Board Exam 2021 this year. Classes 10 and 12 CBSE will begin on May 4 and end on June 10, 2021. The result of CBSE 2021 for Class 10 and Class 12 will be declared on 15 July.

Class 12 Board examinations would be carried out in two shifts to reduce the number of days of the examinations, the CBSE said. In the second shift, examinations of subjects that are not offered to students of schools located abroad will be carried out, he added.

Exams will be conducted on the second shift for 4 days. These days, during the morning shift, examinations of Class 10 of the subjects will be carried out in which the maximum number of examination centres will be used. Exams will be carried out in only a few exam centres during the afternoon shift.

The CBSE said that no school personnel who had worked in the morning shift would be given the duty in the afternoon shift to deburden them and keep them in view of the coronavirus pandemic. This year, fewer dates have been taken to carry out the tests in recent years. The timeframe for the 2020 exam was 45 days. However, the exam schedule for 2021 is 39 days. Accordingly, 6 days less is taken to carry out the exams in 2021, the CBSE said.

In Class 10, examinations of 75 subjects and in Class 12, examinations of 111 subjects will be carried out. The CBSE claimed that the date sheet had been prepared in such a way that on any day the total number of students in the Exam Center would not be more than that. This will help the examination centres to strictly follow the safety standards of the COVID and to manage the examination, it said.
