The Easy simple plan to Detoxify Yourself at Home

Detoxification is a necessary treatment for our body. The removal of unwanted toxins is a must for healthy living. We become fit & active, our internal organs get even healthier for better functioning. Also, detoxification is good for our immune, digestive & respiratory system.

Detoxification is a necessary treatment for our body. The removal of unwanted toxins is a must for healthy living. We become fit & active, our internal organs get even healthier for better functioning. Also, detoxification is good for our immune, digestive & respiratory system. 

Due to our busy life- we do not have or have very little time for such treatments. Hence, here are some of my simple steps that will help you to have an Ayurvedic detox treatment, just with your kitchen ingredients. But make sure that you follow all the steps properly.

As per Ayurveda, it is recommended to clean our body during the change of seasons. However, Autumn or spring are considered perfect to detoxify. Panchakarma means a natural process of cleansing in Ayurveda to detoxify bodily channels to restore optimum health.   It includes herbal oil massages, steam baths, internal oilation, Ayurveda based diet & fasting, Yoga & meditation etc. It is a complete rejuvenation of our mind, body & soul.

The home Detoxification requires a minimum of 5 days

Day 1 & 2- Make a drink of lukewarm water boiled with Ginger powder (Suntha Powder) & Cumin (Jeera). Keep this in a thermos & drink when you feel hungry.  This helps burning fats and improve metabolism. You feel more energetic.

Day 3 & 4- Prepare a bowl of soup using mung bean (soaked moong), bottle gourd (lauki), snake gourd (parwal) soft gourd (Tendli, turai)  & leafy vegetables.  Add spices like cumin, coriander, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala as per your taste.  Drink only this soup throughout the day whenever you feel hungry. No other foods.  This help melting the fat deep inside, start relieving the blockages.   Also, drink 1 tbsp Castor oil mixed in half glass of lukewarm water or ginger tea before going to bed. 

Day 4 & 5- Make a medium gravy form of mung and vegetables with all the spices above and consume throughout the day.  Also, drink 1 tbsp Castor oil mixed in half glass of lukewarm water or ginger tea before going to bed.   Helps elimination of the melted toxins out of the body.   You feel energetic, fresh and feel good.  Weight reduction and inch loss is an added benefit for this 5 days home detox!

This will help you in removing the unwanted toxins from your body. However, after five days of this detoxification process - slowly & steadily start with your daily food. But make sure that you avoid red meat, wheat products, sour ad fermented products as well as fried or junk food. 

This detoxification can be done once in every month
