J&K: Indian Army Eliminates Two Terrorists Near LoC In Kupwara

​​Two terrorists were eliminated by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police near the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday at Tekri Nar in the Machil locality of Kupwara, according to news agency ANI.

The police said they killed some nameless terrorists, but they also discovered multiple firearms and ammo in their possession.

Kashmir Police Zone claimed on Twitter: "Two #terrorists were killed by the Army and Kupwara Police near the LoC Tekri Nar in the Machil region of #Kupwara. The identities of the terrorists who were killed are being determined. Two AK-47 rifles, two handguns, and four hand grenades were discovered."

Earlier on Saturday, militants opened fire on two Bihar labourers in the Pulwama neighbourhood of Kharpora Ratnipora.


According to the report, the injured have been taken to a hospital where their condition is claimed to be stable, according to Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Bandipora Police detained three people a week ago for allegedly being engaged in the murder of a migrant labourer a month ago, and seized a weapon in their workplace.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Mohammad Zahid Malik, the three suspects - Waseem Ahmad, Yawar Ahmad, and Muzamil Ahmad - were among the suspects summoned for questioning during the investigation.

After extensive questioning, authorities zeroed in on the trio, who subsequently confessed to killing Mohammad Amreez. A gun used in the incident was also retrieved by police.
