Mukesh Ambani and his family receive death threats again, police probe on
The chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), Mukesh Ambani, and his wife Nita Ambani received a new death threat on Wednesday from an unidentified caller. Zone-2 DCP Nilotpal confirmed the threat and informed ABP Live that at around 1 pm today, a call threatening to blow up the hospital was received on the landline at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. Threats were also made by the caller in the names of some Ambani family members.
The DB Marg Police are looking into the matter, according to DCP.
A similar call was placed to the Reliance Foundation hospital on August 15. The person reportedly threatened Mukesh Ambani's life by making eight calls to the hospital's display number. A guy was caught in Mumbai's western suburbs in connection with the threatening call, and police had already launched an inquiry.
According to rumours, Mukesh Ambani's security has just been increased by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Z+ level. Prior to this, he had been given Z category protection, which entails pilot and follow-up vehicles with armed commandos who protect him everywhere he goes in India.
Outside Mukesh Ambani's Mumbai residence "Antilia," a Scorpio vehicle containing 20 explosive gelatin sticks and a threat letter was found last year.
