Launch of ' Pankh Abhiyan ' To Empower Girls by MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh) Launched a 'Pankh Abhiyan' for the empowerment and growth of the girl child.

On 24th January, 2021, Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh) announced the Launch of a 'Pankh Abhiyan' under the 'Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao' scheme for a year . He launched this scheme on the special occasion of National Girl Child Day at the event organized at Minto hall in Bhopal.
He stated that the words in the 'PANKH' stands as 'P for Protection , A for Awareness of their rights , N for Nutrition , K for Knowledge and H for Health ' and it will continue for a year.
CM also announced a scholarship under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana worth Rs 6.47 crore for 26,099 girls .
He also said "When I became MLA, I introduced a scheme for the wedding of girls from poor families so that it is not considered a burden. When I became CM, we wanted girls to be seen as a boon, not burden hence we brought Ladli Laxmi Yojana". (ANI)
He virtually addressed the girl students through conferencing where they discussed about the future plans and goals. After his speech , he also gave maternal assistance to the receivers of ' Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana'.
