T20 World Cup: BCCI releases new jersey of team India

The BCCI presented the Indian team shirt on Sunday ahead of the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia in a month. Rumours about a new jersey being used in the next event have been circulating for some time, with a few leaked photographs providing a little preview of the new gear.

The new kit was ultimately announced by BCCI on Sunday in a post on their social media pages. The graphic features Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and members of the women's team Harmanpreet Kaur, Shefali Verma, and Renuka Singh wearing the new shirt.


The new jersey is a two-tone one with the shoulders and sleeves being dark blue and the remainder of the kit being in light blue hue. There is also a little design on the left side of the jersey.

The BCCI stated in a message on their official Twitter account that the kit is dedicated to every cricket fan in the country.

During the World Cup in Australia, the Indian men's team will wear the new shirt. On September 12th, the roster for the competition was revealed, with Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returning to the fold. Rohit Sharma will captain the team, with KL Rahul serving as his deputy.
